What is a Health & Fitness Coach?
You may have heard the term "health coach" before, in a magazine, at the doctors office, or at the gym. But what is a health coach? I am here to explain.....
When someone asks me what I do and my reply is "I am a health coach," they usually have no idea what that is. It's ok though, because I can explain.
A health coach is someone you go to when you are concerned about eating right, living healthy, or want to lose weight to be your best self! Health coaches help educate, motivate, and support their clients to live healthy lives through positive food choices. We are teachers. We guide our clients to their goals, so they can live healthy and happy lives!
We have all heard of the crash diets. We want to lose weight fast. I am here to tell you it really doesn't work that way. Drastic changes to our diets usually fail, or provide minimal results at best. We may lose 20 lbs, but that weight will come back twofold when we stop the diet.
I will guide you to make changes slowly, at your own pace that is comfortable. I will listen to your concerns about your health and lifestyle and help you find out why you are struggling, then we will fix it. I am in this journey with you - you are not ever alone.
